First things first – what would your walk-on-stage music be?
My walk-on stage music will be Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana. I am not a big fan of classical music. However, Carmina Burana is a powerful classical piece that I resonate with.
When did you start your business, and why did you create it?
I started my company, Pristine Soul Healing LLC, in January 2023. However, I only started fully focusing on my business in May 2023 after I left my corporate job.
I obtained my Reiki Master certification in May 2021. At the end of 2022, I felt the nudges from the Universe for me to do more with Reiki. I started my business because I felt it was important for me to follow my intuition.
Tell us about your business and what makes you unique in your field.
Pristine Soul Healing LLC started out as my distance Reiki practice. I have since incorporated a forgiveness and transformation coaching service for women; specifically, women who are going through a divorce or who have recently divorced. I help this group of women to release non-serving thoughts and emotions so that they can learn to create the life they desire from a state of inner peace and empowerment.
In January 2024, I started my podcast. My podcast is called “Resiliency of the Human Spirit Podcast.” Through my podcast, I give people an opportunity to share their personal stories of resilience and triumph over life challenges or past trauma. I believe sharing our personal stories will help in the collective’s healing and empowerment. I also feel that the human spirit is immensely resilient and more people need to know that and learn to tap into their own inner wisdom and personal power.
What makes me unique in my field? I am a heart-centered business owner who is intuitive and compassionate. I respect everyone’s life journey. As I am a channel for universal energies, I understand my role as a neutral conduit to help facilitate healing within the collective. When my client and I come together with a mutual intention for healing, both of us have our own parts to play. I serve as a conduit for healing energy, while my client agrees to be open to do their own inner work. When both parties come together in cohesion, that is when the highest healing occurs.
If you could magically give all of your community members one thing in this world, what would it be, and why?
I would give them my compassion. There is much judgment in today’s world. We can all do with more compassion in our world.
Has anything surprised you about starting a business?
I realized that starting a business is the most intense spiritual journey one can embark on. When I started my business, I did not have a clue on what to do next. It was overwhelming. Then self-doubt and fear started to creep in. But that’s totally normal. I just kept putting one foot in front of the other on this journey into the unknown. I had to learn to trust myself and the Universe. I soon realized that I am always in collaboration with the Universe. What I need is always given to me at the perfect time.
Did you create your own website or hire it out? Do you use WordPress?
I created my own website on Squarespace. I did not want to spend money on a web designer at that time. So, I spent two months watching YouTube videos and eventually learned how to create my own website. I love learning and creating new things!
What advice would you give to someone who is thinking about starting their own business?
This is my advice, “There will be difficult days where you will doubt yourself. Hang in there. Know that you are always divinely guided and supported. You will always find your way. Be fearless and always follow your heart.”
If you could go back in time and do something differently, what would you do and why?
I wouldn’t do anything differently. Everything has turned out exactly the way it was meant to. All life experiences have a higher purpose.
Who are your favorite bloggers or podcasts right now? Or what is an influential book that you’ve read lately?
I haven’t read a blog in a long time. However, I do listen to many podcasts, and they are great because they all have different insights and wisdom to share. I would say that my favorite podcast is my own podcast, Resiliency of the Human Spirit Podcast.
The most influential book that I’ve read is The Prism of Lyra by Lyssa Royal and Keith Priest. It changed my outlook on life. You would have to read this book to understand what I mean.
Is there anything else you’d like to share?
Fun facts about me:
1) I served in the United States Army on active duty from 2011 to 2019. I also served on Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan from 2016 to 2017.
2) I am a highly introverted person. Being in crowds is not my thing.
3) My dream place to live would be in a house by the ocean.
4) Swimming with the dolphins is on my bucket list of things to do.
5) I love spicy food. Thai food is my favorite cuisine.
