When did you start your business, and why did you create it?

In October 2021, our journey began with the aim of creating a platform for growth and meaningful conversations in the podcast world, specifically catering to entrepreneurial women. As time progressed, we discovered our passion and expertise in social media, graphic design, and supporting the growth of our business community. This led to our evolution from Women in Leadership to Freetime Solutions, where we now specialize in providing comprehensive solutions to help businesses flourish and thrive.

If we could magically give all of our community members one thing in this world, it would be the gift of unlimited time. Time is a precious resource, and we understand that our community members lead busy lives, juggling various responsibilities and commitments. By providing them with unlimited time, we would empower them to pursue their passions, spend quality moments with loved ones, and have the freedom to explore new opportunities. With more time at their disposal, our community members can truly maximize their potential, achieve their goals, and create a life of fulfillment and success.

Has anything surprised you about starting a business?

Starting a business is an exciting and fulfilling journey, and along the way, there have been several surprises that have enriched our experience. One of the surprises was the incredible support and encouragement we received from our community and clients. Their belief in our mission and their willingness to collaborate and grow together exceeded our expectations. Additionally, we were pleasantly surprised by the constant learning and adaptability required in running a business. The ever-evolving landscape of entrepreneurship presents new challenges and opportunities, pushing us to continuously expand our knowledge, skills, and perspectives.

Yes, we love WordPress and built our own website.

What advice would you give to someone who is thinking about starting their own business?

If you’re thinking about starting your own business, here are a few valuable pieces of advice:

Define Your Purpose and Passion: Start by identifying your passion and purpose. Understand why you want to start a business and what drives you. This clarity will provide a strong foundation and motivation throughout your entrepreneurial journey.

Understand your target audience, competition, industry trends, and potential demand for your product or service. This knowledge will help you make informed decisions and refine your business strategy.

Develop a Solid Business Plan: Create a well-thought-out business plan that outlines your goals, target market, marketing strategies, financial projections, and operational processes. A strong business plan will guide your decisions, attract investors, and provide a roadmap for your success.

Build a Supportive Network: Surround yourself with a supportive network of mentors, fellow entrepreneurs, and industry experts. If you could go back in time and do something differently, what would you do and why? 

Looking back, if there was one thing we could have done differently, it would be to prioritize scalability and long-term growth from the very beginning. While we initially focused on building a strong foundation and delivering exceptional services, we could have also dedicated more time and resources to developing scalable systems, processes, and infrastructure that would support our growth as the business expanded.

By investing in scalable solutions early on, we would have been better prepared to handle increased demand, onboard new clients efficiently, and scale our operations smoothly. This would have allowed us to accommodate the rapid growth we experienced without facing some of the challenges and bottlenecks that arose along the way.

Nevertheless, we see these challenges as valuable learning opportunities, and we have since made significant investments in scalability and automation to ensure we can continue to meet the needs of our expanding client base. Our commitment to continuous improvement and learning from our experiences is what drives us to constantly evolve and provide even better solutions for our clients.
